MOBILIZING TO MAUVILLE CITY cuts close to ground zero. local ash has evaporated to molten bubbles. the sight of LAVARIDGE TOWN, the last sighting of GYM LEADER Eva Morales, has been swallowed whole. only magma remains in its wake.

local pokemon have evacuated to MAUVILLE proper. the rest of the city has been abandoned, transitioned into the safer areas of SLATEPORT and FORTREE, in accordance to the contingencies of city planner Yujin Ha. which makes hunkering down much easier for what league forces remain.

the sweltering heat of hoenn’s sun grows brighter with each passing hour. no matter how refined Aurelie Lefevre’s steel work may be, even metal starts to sweat under this unnatural DROUGHT.

priam keeps trying different other names, but none of them are able to be given a chance to stand beside the mauville holdings ceo.

he's not sure if oscar was the type to thrive on projects he does alone, but he knows well that if there was someone that needs to be deployed in mauville, it has to be him.

sun and heat aside, assumptions were made that his trips to ultra desert should make him acclimated to the new climate of the fallen city. he could survive on his own, priam hopes.

deploying oscar clayton and genesect for 325 FP.

As Oscar appeared, he would attempt to stylishly wait for his fellow units to join him. He had no idea how long that would take, but he could hold a pose for minutes if he had to. Except--no one else showed up, and eventually he just felt silly. Oscar looked up at the sky, unsure if priam conrad was pulling his leg. Was he really that expensive?

Eventually Oscar had to face facts: he was on his own. What a drag, he was really looking forward to some squad-based shenanigans. Oh well, that was what he got for bringing along a tricked out cybernetic killing machine. As Oscar took in his surroundings, he quickly realized that the city of Mauville was in dire straits. The tempered steel of Mauville's architecture was straining from the unnatural heat that radiated around it. With such temperatures, Oscar pondered how Genesect would fare.

"Guess we'll find out." He said to himself as he released his faithful companion. As Genesect looked to him for order,s Oscar could not help but notice that Prime's simulation did not keep his iconic paint job. What a fucking disaster! Oscar groaned, "Priam is gonna throw a fit. Whatever, let's look for anyone in need of help--or something."

Oscar and Genesect ran off, two 'league heroes' on a mission.

THE SOUND OF CRUMPLED STEEL echoes throughout the abandoned city. no matter what defenses its inhabitants may have put up, they might as well become paper when faced with team magma’s vanguard.

a single man barrels forward with reckless abandon atop a TERRAKION. those native to the region will recognize the famous racer, the plower of paths, Josh Devlin.

“yeeehaw! alright, terrakion, y’know what we’re here to do. let’s move mountains!”[break][break]

the pokemon takes off, sure and steady, undaunted by anything in its path. it may not seem impressive, speed-wise, but the pokemon breaks through the city walls, buildings, and anyone who dares stray into its path. unfortunately, oscar clayton finds himself on the opposite end as the pokemon accelerates with HIGH HORSE POWER.

what’s more worrisome is that not too far behind, a troop of HEATRAN can be seen flooding into the city. all thanks to the opening the TERRAKION has so kindly busted wide open.

Oscar found himself drawn to the city's edges, where a great wall offered Mauville its protection. It would have been impressive, if it had not been created virtually. Oscar tilted his head as he examined it, curious on how effective it would be against a fully assault. Yet he could not help but notice how terribly quiet it suddenly was, which slowly began to eat away at him.

"Where the fuck is everyone?"

Oscar would not be alone for long, as the walls would quickly explode open as a legendary musketeer and its rider would kick start an invasion. Oscar threw up his hands as steel and energy went in every direction, opening the wall wide for an army of heatran. Oscar scoffed as he lowered his arms. "That wall wasn't worth a damn. Probably wasn't made of melted down pokemon, amateurs." Had he known that he was insulting the craftsmanship of a virtual Aurelie Lefevre, Oscar would have felt incredibly bad. Luckily, ignorance is bliss.

As the charging horseman got closer, Oscar would recognize its rider as Josh Devlin. It was an amusing sight, though not one Oscar could appreciate for long. He had to take out Josh quickly, otherwise Oscar will lose track of the invading heatran. He pointed toward the encroaching foe. "Genesect, analyze and dispatch."

Genesect scanned the charging enemy, using its Analytic software to locate the best place to strike (its left side next to its legs, if you're curious). As the enemy came closer and closer, Genesect would begin charging its cannon. Josh was quickly approaching: fifty yards, forty yards, thirty, twenty...

Genesect had taken a moment to put some extra effort into its strike, diverting physical resources to enhance his Techno Blast's Steel typing (Steel Worker). Right as it began to become nearly too late, Genesect would unleash a dazzling silver beam to hopefully cut down the Terrakion and its master.

tl;dr
--Genesect used a steel type Techno Blast enhanced by its Steel Worker ability to stop the charging Terrakion in its tracks, hoping that its Analytic examination of the target will assist with its aim.
